A response from thought leaders: What is the response of the world startup economy to the reality of COVID-19?

Description:

The sudden outbreak of the coronavirus and its rapid spread have presented an alarming health crisis. In addition to the human impact, there is also a significant commercial impact that is being felt globally.

This year and for the coming 2 to 3 years will surely be tough for businesses around the world. Our financial equilibriums and plans are no longer valid, and all businesses—large enterprises and startups alike—may need to re-plan everything, down to the smallest detail. We want to take a practical look at the challenges startups have to deal with in this turbulent time.

According to Bloomberg, even the most sophisticated economic models are unable to predict exactly what will happen, but the fact is that survival, even for even some of the mature businesses, will not be easy. And when it comes to startups, on top of their typical unsystematic risks, it seems it will be more difficult for them.

But we must not forget that, when we talk about startups, we are talking about very innovative companies that are high adaptable, characteristics that can add value to society during a crisis. They can therefore survive and even thrive.

The speakers will discuss the systematic and unsystematic risks that startups are now facing and how they can manage these risks. A question-and-answer session will follow.
