ENGIE X NTU Innovation Challenge - Demo Day
The ENGIE x NTU Innovation Challenge was open to all university students in Singapore to creatively solve challenges and achieve energy-efficiency and smart building solutions. Over an 8-month period, participants had special access to the facilities of the JurongHealth Campus (Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital). The teams were also mentored by industry executives in sustainability, energy and smart city technology, and received up to S$10,000 in prototype funding.
The Demo Day for the challenge was held virtually on 24 Jun, during which the top three teams pitched their innovative solutions – involving artificial intelligence and other technologies for predictive maintenance, digitisation of services and ultimately, autonomous building management – to the judges.

1. 1st Prize (S$3,000) – Team EcoBuilding
2. Runners-up (S$1,500 each) – Teams TriplEEEians and Axonense
The winning team, together with the other two finalist teams, received prototyping awards; and following this challenge, all three teams will continue to explore how to build a startup with ENGIE and access further venture capital funding.
This innovation challenge is jointly organised by ENGIE APAC/ENGIE Factory Asia-Pacific and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore/NTUitive – in collaboration with JurongHealth Campus.
